I’ve always felt that the major selling point for most religions is that by believing you’ll get all your wishes granted. Certainly, for many, faith goes much deeper than this. And you could argue that the true believers of other schools of thought, like capitalism or communism for example, are also simply people who think they’ll benefit from them.
